How to block Web traffic using the SEP SBE cloud Smart Firewall

Issue/Introduction

Prevent users from accessing Web Sites using Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition cloud (SEP SBE cloud).

Resolution

1. Log into the SEP SBE management console 
2. Open the Policies tab and select Endpoint Protection on the left navigation pane. If you are still using the default Endpoint Protection policy, save a copy. (the default policy is Read-Only)
3. Under Network Protection, expand Firewall Rules and click Add Rule.
4. Configure the following fields:

• Connections: Block Outbound
• Computers: Any Computer
• Communications: 
  • TCP
  • Custom List
  • Known Ports from List
  • Remote
  • Click on Click to view list
  • Add remote ports 80 http and 443 https

• Click OK
• Make sure the correct groups are selected
• Click Save and Apply
