Upgrading from 9.2.2 to 9.5

Applying VIP EG Updates Manually

1. From VIP Manager, download the vip_eg_9_x_x_patch.zip (e.g. vip_eg_9.2.2) that contains the VIP Enterprise Gateway update you want to apply.
2. Extract the vip_eg_9_x_x_patch.zip file to your local folder.
3. From the extracted Windows or Linux folder, copy the actionScript.jar file to the <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>\tools folder.
4. From the <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>\tools directory, do the following:
    On the Windows platform, on the command prompt (note that command prompt needs to run as administrator), run the actionScript.bat file after entering the package directory as the complete path.
                    <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>\tools\actionScript.bat C:\temp\vip_eg_9_x_x_patch\windows 9.x.x
    On the Linux platform, on the shell prompt, run the actionScript.sh file after providing the package directory as complete path.
                    <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>/tools/actionScript.sh /home/temp/vip_eg_9_x_x_patch/linux 9.x.x
5. The VIP EG V9.x.x patch is applied and a directory with backup files is created.
    

Restoring VIP Enterprise Gateway to 9.2 - To revert your VIP EG installation to v9.2, do the following:

1. Log into the Configuration Console.
2. From the <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>\tools directory, do the following, run the restoreScript.
    On the Windows platform, run the restoreScript.bat file.
             For example, <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>\tools\restoreScript.bat 9.x.x
    On the Linux platform, run the restoreScript.sh file.
            For example, <VRSN_MAUTH_HOME>/tools/restoreScript.sh 9.x.x
3. Start all the services.

Upgrading from 9.6.1 to 9.7.0

Applying VIP EG Updates Manually

1. From VIP Manager, click account, Download files, then select Enterprise Gateway, then 9.7. Then select VIP_Windows_Package_9_7_0.zip for windows or VIP_Linux_Package_9_7_0.tar for Linux.
2. Unzip to Desktop. (Make sure that you unzip to folder)
3. From the extracted Windows or Linux folder, copy the actionScript.jar file to the <VIP Gateway install location>\tools, tell it to replace file (it is recommend that you save a copy of the old jar file).
4. From the <VIP Gateway install location>\tools directory, do the following:
    On the Windows platform, on the command prompt (note that command prompt needs to run as administrator), run the actionScript.bat file after entering the package directory as the complete path.
                    <VIP Gateway install location>\tools\actionScript.bat <extracted_file_location>\VIP_Windows_Package_9_7_0 9.7.0
    On the Linux platform, on the shell prompt, run the actionScript.sh file after providing the package directory as complete path.
                    <VIP Gateway install location>\tools/actionScript.sh <extracted_file_location>/VIP_Linux_Package_9_7_0 9.7.0
5. Refresh the VIP Gateway console to see upgrade progress.
6. Once complete all services will need to be restarted in the VIP Gateway console.
