Issue/Introduction

You are experiencing issues activating the {SYMC.EN_US} VIP Access for Mobile Application onto your handset.

Resolution

If you are experiencing issues activating the {SYMC.EN_US} VIP Access for Mobile Application onto your handset, please verify the following information:

  1. Is my handset and carrier supported?

    The list of supported carriers, countries, and handsets can be found at: https://vipmobile.symantec.com/supportedphones.v

    If you do not see your carrier, country, or handset on the list, this means that they are not officially supported.  We cannot guarantee that the VIP application will function properly, but we can continue to provide "best effort" support.
     
  2. Am I experiencing one of the following common issues?

    Error: 0xb occurs when trying to enable the {SYMC.EN_US} Identity Protection (VIP) Access for mobile application

    Error regarding the website's certificate upon activation
    You will receive this error if the incorrect time and date are set on the handset.  Please configure the correct time and date on your handset to resolve this issue.
