Issue/Introduction

Can domain credentials be used to login to VIP Enterprise Gateway? 

Resolution

VIP administrators can use their enterprise credentials to sign in to VIP Enterprise Gateway console.

To enable the function, log in locally in the VIP Enterprise Gateway console UI and navigate to User Store > Console Authentication.

1) Select Yes in the message to allow the administrators to authenticate using the credentials configured in the user store.
2) Select a User Store from the drop-down list in the Name field.
3) Under Search Criteria, enter the information in Base DN, User Filter and Group Filter fields.
4) Enter a user name and click Test to check if the user is configured in the selected user store.
5) Click Save.


After the configuration is saved, the VIP administrators can sign into the Configuration Console using their enterprise directory (AD or LDAP) credentials.

The Sign In page will include a drop-down field to switch between Local Administrator or User Store.
