How to determine the installed version of the Symantec VIP plugin for Microsoft Credential Provider.


Cause


Resolution

  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. Browse to C:\Windows\System32
  3. Find "SymantecCredentialProvider8.dll" and view the properties
  4. On the "Details" tab you will find the "File Version" indicating the deployment version
