Issue/Introduction

Due to a known issue with the Firefox browser on OS X, if a user attempts to install the Symantec Authentication Client for Firefox extension and closes the installation dialog, clicks the Learn More link, or clicks anywhere outside the installation dialog box, the box closes and will not appear again. As a result, the user will not be able to install the extension.

 The dialog box will not reappear even if the user attempts to install the Symantec Authentication Client for Firefox extension again.

 This is a known issue with the Firefox browser, and affects the installation dialog box for all extensions for Firefox.

Resolution

Users need to log off the system and log back on. The installation dialog box appears correctly the next time they attempt to install the Symantec Authentication Client for Firefox extension.

Firefox has deferred this known issue, and does not currently plan to fix this issue.
