Adobe Bulletin: ACC-002 fails to download

Issue/Introduction

Opened Console > Actions > Software > Patch Remediation Center; highlighted ACC-002 > Right-click > Download package and found it failed to download.

Confirmed partial package downloaded with the .bat file present per log entry: 

• [1 / 1] Completed downloading 'http://www.solutionsam.com/imports/7_1/patch/windows/scripts/ACCCx3_9_5_353.bat'

Failed to download Software Update Package 'ACCCx3_9_5_353.zip'

 

Download failed for 'http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/1/win32/ACCCx3_9_5_353.zip'

The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

Environment

Patch Management 7.5.x, 7.6.x and 8.x

Cause

The download URL is accurate but Adobe modified download access to include a login session. 

Resolution

Review the process outlined on INFO3201: This info-doc walks through the downloading process for the package and how to distribute with the .bat file in the package created on the SMP Server when ACC-002 was initially downloaded.

However, found that this update can be manually downloaded from ACC-002 without inputting credentials. 

Confirmed able to add this one-off download URL into PMImport 7.1.907 released on 2/15/2017.
