Reporting does not allow wildcards, or multiple IP addresses separated by commas as an advanced report filter

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to filter a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager report via multiple IP addresses, any values that are not a single IP address return an error stating "Invalid IP address".

Environment

Symantec Endpoint Protection 14, SEPM Reporting.

 

Cause

In Symantec Endpoint Protection 14, new field validation for the IPv4 and IPv6 was added.  The filtering logic does not allow for wildcards, or comma-separated values at this time.

Resolution
