Issue/Introduction

Software Product Licensing Recalculation Operation Task fails. SQL error at "spContract_SoftwareProduct_LicenseCalculation": Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_InvHist_SoftwareProduct_InstallationInfo'

Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint
'PK_InvHist_SoftwareProduct_InstallationInfo'. Cannot insert duplicate key in
object 'dbo.InvHist_SoftwareProduct_InstallationInfo'. The duplicate key value
is (44702, 22573)

Environment

ITMS 8.0 HFx

Cause

One or more software products were installed and removed on different resources in between "Software Product Licensing Recalculation Operation" task runs.

Resolution

This issue is addressed in release 8.1
For earlier releases run the SQL query in attachment against Symantec CMDB to modify "spContract_SoftwareProduct_LicenseCalculation".

NB.: A full DB backup is highly recommended prior to modifying the stored procedure, and testing the outcomes by running "Software Product Licensing Recalculation Operation" task
