Required exclusions for LabTech

Issue/Introduction

You have LabTech running in your environment and are receiving blocks or quarantines within Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition cloud (SEP SBE).

Resolution

LapTech requires specific exclusions that must be implemented for the application to function properly with anti-virus software.

Labtech required exclusions:

C:\LTSHARE
C:\LTshare\Transfer\Tools 
C:\Windows\LTSvc\scripts\
C:\ProgramData\MySQL
C:\ProgramFiles\MySQL
C:\Windows\Temp\LTInstall\
C:\Program Files (x86)\LabTech
C:\Program Files (x86)\LabTech Client

AV File Exclusions:
C:\windows\ltsvc\lttray.exe
C:\windows\ltsvc\ltsvc.exe
C:\windows\ltsvc\ltsvcmon.exe
C:\LTshare\Transfer\Tools\produkey.exe
C:\LTshare\Transfer\Tools\produkey64.exe

 

NOTE: LabTech documentation doesn't contain the same amount of exclusions. 

Symantec has experienced blocks on the produkey.exe and prodkey64.exe files and have added these to the exclusions list.
