Issue/Introduction

A Mac OS X client is configured to use a Proxy Server in System Preferences.
The installed Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for Mac Client External Communications Settings are configured with "Do not use Proxy Server" for LiveUpdate.
LiveUpdate fails to honor this setting and connects to System configured Proxy Server.
The Proxy Server or Content Filter Software may be configured to block non standard file types, causing LiveUpdate to fail.
Downloading the blocked file may return an error message similar to the following:

"An error occurred while performing an ICAP operation: Blocked file extension detected; File: <timestamp>jtun_navmac12en<date_and_sequence_number>.osi"

If the connection via the Proxy server causes LiveUpdate to fail:
