Issue/Introduction

First three tabs of SEPM (Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager) local console are incompletely displayed. The web and Java consoles do display correctly.

First three tabs of SEPM are incompletely displayed. Not completely blank; some graphic portions are visible, and if page content is selected and pasted into text editor it becomes apparent that there is text but it has been rendered white against the blank background.

Environment

SEPM version 14.0

Various Windows versions, IE (Internet Explorer) version 8 or older.

Cause

These symptoms have been observed when SEPM 14 is installed onto a system where IE version 8 or older is installed.

Resolution

Upgrade Internet Explorer at at least vesion 9. The SEPM may need to be un/re-installed afterwards, or "repair installation".
