Environment

VIP authentications are not going through the VIP gateway server, while VPN related authentication traffic does. If using ADFS as 3rd Party IdP, this is by design and the EG does not act as the IdP. To verify, use an httpwatch to show traffic straight away goes to VIP cloud from ADFS. The connectivity must be established through valid SSL handshakes between ADFS and VIP services only, and not the EG. 

Cause

The VIP certificate has expired. 

Resolution

Install the SSL certificate properly. If expired, obtain a new SSL cert and install that certificate.
