DS 8.0 - Client in WinPE Automation sometimes randomly might stop executing chain of tasks

Issue/Introduction

When executing a chan of tasks for client machine in WinPE automation, sometimes after finishing previous task client would never execute next task.

In logs (SMA/DSTasks) we can see that task have been finished, but next task is never started

Task would eventually time-out on Server side.

Environment

DS 7.6 HF7

DS 8.0

Cause

Due to limitation of Threads in WinPE preboot environment, sometimes Client Task Agent might be forced to use unavailable Thread, and thus stop processing it.

Resolution

Symantec have resolved the issue and fix would be available on DS 8.0 HF6
