How to install the license on an unmanaged Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14 client

Issue/Introduction

Customer is installing SEP 14 clients as unmanaged.  He purchased the licenses but does not see how to apply them.

Cause

Clients are unmanaged in the environment

Resolution

The only reason you would want to apply the license, is if you want these clients to be able to submit suspicious files to our reputation database.  Other than that, there is no need to apply the license on an unmanaged SEP 14 client..
