Symantec Management Agent may return invalid package names in NSEs for Evt_AeX_SWD_Package data class

Issue/Introduction

There are situations when Symantec Management Agent may return wrong package names.
A software delivery and installation have been successful. The reported package name is wrong as can be seen from Evt_AeX_SWD_Package table.

No errors.

Environment

ITMS 7.6 HF7 / ITMS 8.0 - 8.0 HF4.

Resolution

For ITMS 7.6 HF7
Please install a cumulative fix SMA 7.6 HF7 v11 once it is available from http://www.symantec.com/docs/INFO3459.

HOW TO INSTALL THE POINTFIX

1. Log in as administrator
2. Retrieve files from the archive to the NS hard drive
3. Click on PFinstaller.exe
4. Click install files button
5. From Windows Task Scheduler run NS.Package Distribution Point Update Schedule and NS.Package Refresh
6. Upgrade SMA on clients via SMA upgrade policy for non-site servers

HOW TO UNINSTALL THE POINTFIX

1. Log in as administrator
2. Retrieve files from the archive to the NS hard drive
3. Click on PFinstaller.exe
4. Click uninstall files button

For ITMS 8.0 - 8.0 HF4
Install 8.0 HF5.
