An exception caught in m_pSMFAgent->InventoryScan2(bQuickScan,bSendFullNSE)

Cause

This is a known issue.

Resolution

A point-fix for this issue has been created for version 7.6 HF7. It will also be fixed in 8.0 HF5 and 8.1.

HOW TO INSTALL THE POINT-FIX

1. Copy the contents of the attached archive to the local drive of the SMP Server.
2. Log onto the SMP as the Application Identity account credentials.
3. Run PFInstaller.exe and choose to install the PF.
4. To send the fix out to the clients, enable the upgrade policies of the Symantec Management Agent.
