What are the connections that Live update uses for Data Center Security DCS?

Issue/Introduction

You are seeing out bound FTP, HTTP,HTTPS coming from DCS going to Akami and you want to know if it is by design.

Resolution

 In LU, the HOST file list is HTTP, HTTP, then FTP. FTP is by default the third option after HTTP is closed.

So if you are seeing FTP traffic then it failed on HTTPS, and HTTP so this is normal and by design.
