Issue/Introduction

When trying to install the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client, nothing happens when double clicking on Setup.exe, when uncompressing the package and right clicking on the SEP msi file and clicking on Install the error

Applying the kb: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH218029.html doesn't help

 "The installer integrity check failed with error code 0x800b0110. Common causes for this failure include an incomplete download, damaged media, or problems with the Trusted Root certificate store"

Cause

One of the Certificate used in the Certification Path of the Digital signature maybe disabled:

Check the Certification Path of the Setup.exe:

- Right Click on the Setup.exe file
- Click on the Digital Signatures tab
- Click on the Digital Signature available then click on Details
- then click on View Certificates
- In the next Window you should have a Certification Path Tab

If you see if one of the Certificate in the Certification Path is disabled:

Check if the Certificate is not disabled in the Certificates management console (Right-click on the Certificate and click on Properties) :
