Web Part Editing Icons Not Working in Workflow and Servicedesk

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to edit any web part in Servicedesk 8.0, to add a custom Iframe web part, or any other web part edits, the icons do not appear normally, and do not respond to attempts to click on them

Environment

Workflow and Servicedesk 8.x

Cause

The issue only occurs in Internet Explorer when Compatibility Mode is turned on for Process Manager Portal URL.

Resolution

There are two ways around this issue:

  1. Use a different browser
  2. Make sure Compatibility Mode is turned off in Internet Explorer
