Unable to run software delivery tasks after deploying image to a client.

Issue/Introduction

After deploying image to client software delivery tasks may fail and job eventually times out due to warning:

The Software Delivery configuration file contains an invalid hash, no tasks will be run until new configuration is received from the Notification Server

Environment

ITMS 8.0

Cause

Problem caused by AexSWDPolicy.xml file containing old machine SWD key and faiing to validate hash until key is regenerated.

Resolution

Problem is planned to be fixed in HF5 in Deployment jobs which would remove AexSWDPolicy.xml when preparing image to capture.

 

In earlier versions remove [C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\AeXSWDPolicy.xml] before running Software Delivery (Package delivery or Quick delivery tasks).

File can be removed before capturing image, from image or later when image is deployed and booted into production.
