Issue/Introduction

Customer is trying to upgrade the version of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) on Windows Embedded machines

Error in SEP_Inst.log:

Environment

this has been seen on OS Posready2009 SP3 by example

Cause

the filter driver FBWF is not started

 

Resolution

starting the FBWF filter driver by example by typing the command "sc config fbwf start= auto" and restart the system, will allow SEP to be upgraded
