Control Compliance Suite

Issue/Introduction

How do I configure the Control Compliance Suite to ignore certain paths.

Resolution

Agent-less data collection

On the CCS manager or managers navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\CCS\Reporting and Analytics\DPS\control\<OS_Type>\ConfigFiles\bvAgentlessConfig.ini

eg. for RedHat Linux this would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\CCS\Reporting and Analytics\DPS\control\Unix\ConfigFiles\bvAgentlessConfig.ini
Modify the IgnoreDirectoryPathsAlways.dat or IgnoreDirectoryPathsForFind.dat to ignore paths specifically for find.

Agent-Based data collection

To ignore paths always, this applies to CCS 12.5.x as well:

To ignore when specifically using a check that calls the find command:

Additional Information

NOTE: That this only applies to the evaluation, the data is still being collected from these folder/directories.

The only way to truly exclude a folder/directory, would be to use the check to specify only the path locations you want to collect data from.
