Windows Vulnerability by Severity - Detail report renders with inaccurate data

Issue/Introduction

Opened the Console > Home > My Portal

• Edit > Web Parts > Software Management > Patch Management, highlighted Microsoft Vulnerabilities, clicked Add and Save Changes

​Clicked the returned count of Vulnerable or other links:

Reviewed the rendered Windows Vulnerability by Severity - Details report; found the results differ from the vulnerabilities listed in the Windows Compliance reports.

Environment

Patch Management Solution 8.0 HF2

Cause

Appears the database schema changed in recent releases and the sql script behind the report needs to be updated.

Resolution

This issue will be resolved in Patch Management Solution 8.0 HF4.

Workaround: Execute each of the attached SQL scripts to drop the old Stored Procedure and Create the updated Stored Procedure:

• spPMWindows_MicrosoftVulnerabilitiesWebPart.txt
• spPMWindowsReport_Dashboard_MSVulnerabilities_Detail.txt

Caution: Always ensure there is a recent backup of the Symantec_CMDB (default name) database prior to running any SQL scripts.
