GSS 3.1 - When performing an upgrade on new server pointing to existing database setup will fail with "Failed to perform Database changes before upgrade"

Issue/Introduction

Installing new version of GSS 3.1, using DS 6.9 database or GSS 3.x database on external SQL server (using existing database).
 

After filling all required information during Setup process, and clicking "Install" button, after few seconds receiving popup error message "Failed to perform Database changes before upgrade".

Environment

New GSS 3.1 install on new fresh built Server.

Cause

Install Readiness Check is performed for upgrade process, and failing to locate existing database configuration.

Resolution

Known issue. Will be fixed in next major release of Ghost Solution Suite (GSS 3.2)

WORKAROUND:

We need to manually create a ODBC entry (in ODBC32) named exactly "Altiris Express Database" and point it to the existing SQL/Database.
