"Failed to load hid_base_hv kernel module" when running SMG 10.6.x on a HYPERV

Issue/Introduction

The Messaging Gateway (SMG) osconfig service startup returns a message indicating that the hid_base_hv module cannot be loaded when running SMG on Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines.

Cause

The osconfig service is attempting to load the hid_base_hv kernel module which does not exist in SMG 10.6.

Resolution

This issue has been addressed with SMg 10.6.3

For all other versions, this error may be safely ignored. There is no impact on system stability or message filtering.
