Issue/Introduction

When Imaging an HP computer with their image that was provided we see the GhostCast server give an error messge of timeout. 

Ghostcast client crashes on Restoring....NTFS MFT Files. 

GhostCast Server error message "Connection Timed Out"

Environment

GhostCast server 3.3.x

 

Cause

The MBR is corrupted and the C: drive is defragmented. 

 

Resolution

Run through the following to fix the production OS install:

1. run fixboot /mbr
2. run chkdsk /r
3. defragment the C: drive
4. re capture an image
5. deploy the new image.
