Shutdown of system logger fails after system bootstrap

Issue/Introduction

When installing a new Messaging Gateway (SMG) appliance or virtual machine, the system logger service shows [FAILED] when the system reboots after the initial bootstrap configuration. Subsequent reboots of the appliance or virtual machine do not show this failure message on the console but rather the expected success message.

Resolution

This message only appears at the first reboot of the SMG system during installation and can be ignored.
