Issue/Introduction

Symantec Encryption Desktop on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 4th Gen with an NVMe drive (Samsung MZVKV512) on Windows 10 produces a blank screen right after you enter credentials at the Bootguard. It never loads Windows after that. Endpoint can be recovered successfully using the WinPE Recovery Disk.

Blank screen appears after passing credentials on the Bootguard screen and never loads Windows.

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.

This issue was fixed in the SED 10.4.1 release (SEMS 3.4.1).
