Issue/Introduction

There is a requirement to install Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) clients on an Exchange 2016 server. Recommended Microsoft exclusions need to be configured.

Environment

Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and SEP 12.1.x, or SEP 14.x.

Resolution

Automatic Exclusions for Exchange 2016 has been added in SEP 14.0. In releases of SEP 12.1.x, scan exclusions for Exchange 2016 need to be added manually per Microsoft's recommendations.
