Issue/Introduction

Using Data Connector to import from Share Point results in errors/warnings displayed when attempting to view the data.

The Microsoft Access database engine could not find the object 'OBJECT NAME'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly. If 'OBJECT NAME' is not a local object, check your network connection or contact the server administrator.

Cause

The import\export rule can be created and configured without pressing "View import data" on the 'Data Source page' or "Show data..." on the Rule Page (these actions try to load data in context of W3WP). During research we've found that we access the datasource data from IIS only when a user selects "Preview" options from the Console, that are not required for rule configuration and execution.

Resolution

Attached is a PointFix for version 7.6 HF7.

HOW TO INSTALL THIS POINTFIX

  1. Log in as administrator
  2. Retrive files from the archive to the NS hard drive.
  3. Click on PFinstaller.exe
  4. Click install files button

HOW TO UNINSTALL THIS POINTFIX

  1. Make sure that Backup subfolder is located in PFinstaller directory
  2. Execute PFInstaller.exe with administrative privileges (right-click > Run as administrator).
  3. Accept UAC (User Account Control) prompt, select Uninstall Files
