How to Update Deployment Package Server Components

Issue/Introduction

After an upgrading to a newer Deployment Solution version and enabling the usual standard plug-in upgrade policies, the "Deployment Package Server" plug-in still appears with the previous version instead of the new one on the Package Server.

 

 

Resolution

Make sure the upgrade policy is enabled and this package server is part of the target of this policy:

  1. Go under Settings>All Settings>Agent/Plug-ins>Deployment. Turn "Deployment Package Server Components - Upgrade" policy on.

  2. Update configuration on that Package Server
  3. Verify that 'Deployment Package Server' was upgraded in the agent settings tab in the Symantec Management Agent interface.
