The Launch Report Builder button fails to open the Report builder for SQL Server 2014.

Issue/Introduction

The IT Analytics (ITA) 8.0 console fails to launch SQL report builder if it is on SQL 2014.

It uses  GET
http:///ReportServer/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder.application
call to Launch Report Builder

The same appears on 7.6 version with SQL server is 2012 has GET
http:///ReportServer/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application

For both versions name of the report builder application is same e.g. ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application, so instead of actually launching the report builder we are getting RS directory list on 8.0 as call fails to find the application (shown on attached screen shot).

Solution-based and standalone editions of ITA are affected.

Resolution

Symantec Development Team is aware of this issue.

For Symantec Management Platform (SMP) it is fixed in 8.0 Hot Fix version 2.

For Standalone ITA: It is cosmetic issue with no impcat on ITA product functionality and will be fixed in one of next editions of standalone installers.
