Mac agent reinstallation fails after uninstall

Issue/Introduction

If the Mac agent folder at ~/Library/Manufacturer/EndpointAgent is deleted and a user with root access attempts to reinstall the agent, errors occur which prevent the installation from completing. 

Cause

Uninstalling the agent by deleting it from the file system does not delete the installation package ID. When the installation package ID is present, subsequent agent installations run in repair mode. Agents running in repair mode do not create a database.

Please contact Technical Support for instructions on how to remove the Mac Agent.
