Cannot uninstall Deployment Solution 7.1 completely using the Installation Manager

Issue/Introduction

The following components 'Altiris Deployment Solution Linux Support 7.1 SP2 MP1' and 'Altiris Deployment Solution WinPE Support 7.1 SP2 MP1' of the Deployment Solution (DS) cannot be uninstalled using the Symantec Installation Manager (SIM) and hence the DS product does not get removed from SIM completely.

Known issue.

Resolution

This issue has been reported to Symantec Development team. A fix should be available in a future release.

 

To delete the Deployment Solution Linux entry from SIM, search and delete these keys from the registry:

 

MsiExec.exe /x{A00C9F60-33C4-41FA-94B0-69EF6ECE354E}

 

MsiExec.exe /x{631A46C3-4180-465C-BC5D-2CA072D39EE1}

 

MsiExec.exe /x{77651866-A519-470F-897E-41C86D009598}

 

Uninstalls such 'myUninstaller', will also clean up random keys.
