Installation Manager does not allow to apply the latest hot fixes or upgrades.

Issue/Introduction

Cannot see any new hot fixes present in the Symantec Installation Manager (SIM) at "Install hot fixes" and at "Upgrade installed products" options.

Environment

Symantec Installation Manager 7.x and 8.x.

Cause

The default pl xml is not selected under the settings of the SIM.

Resolution

Change the pl.xml file to the default "symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip" file to fix the issue. To download the "symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip" file, refer to the steps given in INFO4335
