When upgrading Agent from, 
Is there a need to stop application server?

Release: CEMUGD00200-10.5-Introscope to CA Application-Performance Management-Upgrade Mai

Resolution

Agent installation can not be performed while application server is running.
An overwrite to the installation directory will result in an error.

Please stop application server before running the Agent installer.

In order to shorten the stopping time of application server, Agent packages (IntroscopeAgentFilesOnly-NoInstaller<version><app_server>.<os>.tar(zip)) can deploy the directory of the new Agent without stopping application server.

As a result, the upgrade migration preparation can migrate the existing configuration information to the new environment before stopping application server.
