Issue/Introduction

Cumulative fix v3 for Out of band power management, IDE Redirection and Out of Band inventory errors.
a. Power Management tasks fail via WS-MAN and AMT protocols, but work in Real Time tab.
b. Boot Redirection fails on AMT 9.1 computers.
c. Get Out of Band inventory fails on AMT 9.1 computers.
 

Environment

Note:
Out of Band Management Solution is End-Of-Life (EOL) by now and removed from the product in ITMS 7.6 release. This was our implementation of Intel SBS server for configuring vPro.

Now you should configure vPro machines out of ITMS scope - i.e. by using Intel product.
Then, you can use vPro-enabled machines with Real-Time System Management (RTSM) Solution that we still support.

Resolution

Attached RTSM/RTCI cumulative fix for ITMS 7.6 HF7 resolves the 3 above mentioned known issues.

1. Login to the Symantec Management Platform Server wit the Altiris Service account.

2. Download and extract the attached cumulative fix to the Symantec Management Platform Server.

3. Run the PFInstaller.exe as Administrator and choose Install Files to install the cumulative fix.

Note that the PFInstaller.exe can also be used to uninstall the cumulative fix by running it again and selecting Uninstall Files.
