In Ghost Solution Suite console click:
Tools - PXE Configuration
In the "Boot Menu Options for PXE Server" panel you will see all of the boot menu options that should appear when you attempt to boot to PXE. If you only see "Next Device (BIOS/EFI)" that means you need to create a new configuration. To create a new configuration follow these steps:
(In the PXE Configuration Utility, on the Boot Menu tab)
- Click New
- Type in a name such as "WinPE_11"
- Choose the Preboot operating system (Usually WinPE), check both check boxes in the Processor Options area. (If you do not have both options available we recommend you exit the PXE configuration utility and use Boot Disk Creator to import both the x86 and 64 preboot operating systems.)
- Make sure "Boot Disk Creator" is selected in the Image Creation Method panel, then click Create Boot Image.
- Optional: Enter a description.
- Click Next
- Optional: Add additional drivers
- Click Next
- Click Next
Leave it set to "Obtain IP from DHCP" - Because PXE requires DHCP there should be no reason you would be required to use a static IP address in most cases.
- Click Next
Leave it set to "Use TCP/IP to connect", and automation Agent Location: "Remote"
- Enter credentials for a user that is an administrator on the Ghost server. These are the credentials that will be used when it tries to map the network drives which are specified in the next screen. The user specified here must have rights to connect to the image share and any additional mapped drives that you are going to create in the next screen.
- Click Next
- The default mapping for the express share should be for M drive. If the default mapping is F drive you must exit this process, close Ghost and update it to the latest version and start again.
- Map any additional drives you want to be connected while in automation (If you have a separate place to store images you may want to map that location here.)
- Click Next
- Check the box to add "WINPE-ENHANCEDSTORAGE-PACKAGE"
- Click Next
- Review the options, then click Next
- Click Next
- Click Next, Finish the wizard.
- Click OK
