Error Creating File when creating a boot image with compression

Issue/Introduction

You are attempting to create a boot image using Boot Disk Creator (bootwiz.exe), during the stage "Compressing WIM file" you receive an error, "Error Creating File". If you disable compression, the boot image is created without difficulty.

Cause

Antivirus software blocking compression of WIM file

Resolution

This can be caused by Antivirus or Security software. We suggest you create exceptions to prevent your AV software from scanning the folders that Ghost uses. 

By default, Ghost Solution Suite uses the following locations:

• GSS_Install_Upgrade.exe - Installation or update executable
• C:\DSSetup - Default location where .exe extracts installation files
• C:\Windows\Temp - Temporary staging folder
• C:\Program Files x86\Altiris - Default installation location for GSS and PXE server
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10 - Default WinPE installation location
• C:\Users\Temp - Temporary staging for WIM extraction
