Issue/Introduction

BSOD occurs in windows 8.1 when the driver verifyer is enabled when the fslx.sys driver loads.

BSOD occurs when fslx.sys loads.

Cause

When the driver verifyer is running in windows 8.1 and the fslx.sys driver.

This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

Resolution

Disable the driver verifyer on windows 8.1.
