Issue/Introduction

In z/OS 2.2 environment, current value of the ALLOWUSERKEYCSA parameter is set to YES.

This parameter affects the programs which work at storage key 8 and try to acces CSA. This is controlled by SYS1.PARMLIB(DIAGxx) member and ALLOWUSRKEYCSA parameter.

For security reasons, this parameter will be set to NO (its default value).

Can CA Disk be affected by this change?

Environment

z/OS

Resolution

The setting of ALLOWUSERKEYCSA to NO do not affect Ca Disk as it do not works with the storage key 8.
