How can a user manually set their password when the user is not receiving the password reset email?
Only a subscription administrator can manually update a user's password in the event that a user cannot login to Rally. In order to do so, email functionality within the subscription needs to be turned off.
CAUTION: If your subscription is set up to use SSO, usernames and email addresses may be automatically updated if a user logs in via SSO while email functionality is disabled.
*Please note that this turns off ALL email functionality and will also affect any notifications coming from Rally.*
To turn off email functionality:
Once email functionality is disabled, the user's password can be manually set by the subscription administrator:
**Once completed, be sure to re-enable email functionality at the Subscription level!**
Now the user can log in using the temporary password provided by their subscription administrator and can edit their profile/settings and reset their password once logged into Rally.
While email functionality is disabled, notification rule emails are not initiated but are visible on the My Notifications app.
