Issue/Introduction

"Could not connect to server" error is displayed when computer boots to LinPE

Could not connect to server...

Cause

This is an interface bug, and while the error displays the client is potentially connected to the server and working as expected and can execute tasks.

If you are seeing this error and you cannot execute tasks, it may be a driver issue with your NIC. Make sure you have proper drivers installed in the Driver Database Management page for LinPE in your console by going to Settings > Deployment > Driver Management, selecting the Preboot tab, selecting the LinuxPE bullet and importing .ko drivers.

Resolution

This interface bug is fixed in DS 7.6 HF7.
