Symantec Protection Engine's Graphical User Interface does not open when leveraging Oracle Java for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server

Cause

The provided i686.rpm packages from Red Hat will not function with Symantec Protection Engine's jar files.

Resolution

It is Symantec recommendation to acquire Oracle's Java Installer below. If multiple instances of Java have been installed, the installer script for Symantec Protection Engine will request the location of the 32 bit installation. Please point to the i585.rpm packages to successful run the Symantec Protection Engine's Graphical User Interface.
