Issue/Introduction

Question:
Is "Group Managed Service Accounts" (gMSA) supported as Service Accounts for the SMP?

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Resolution

According to the requirements of SMP service account, "MS SQL" access and "Task schedular" access shall be supported, however currently "Group Managed Service Accounts" does not have support for those 2 mentioned technologies.

Our ITMS Dev team hasn't tested and certified gMSA. It is not part of the test scenarios and traditional implementations.
