When installing Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Small Business Edition (SBE) on an older system such as Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP, the installation fails with the error code 0xc000001d. SymantecExtractor.exe may also have an application error.

The system is using an older processor that does not support SSE2 CPU instructions. SEP SBE requires SSE2 compatibility to run.
System requirements must be met for the SEP SBE installation to complete.
