Issue/Introduction

When launching the Endpoint Encryption Management agent, no drive is listed and when you attempt to uninstall you receive the error " Unable to uninstall the drive is currently encrypted" The drive also does not report back to the Management Server.

Disk is not encrypted, but you can not uninstall

Error message is unable to uninstall as drive is encrypted

Resolution

Dell has published the following knowledge base article about this issue. Follow the steps in the article to stop the SSD boot drive appearing as removable media:
