Why is the interface monitoring profile not applied by default in CA Performance Management?

CA Performance Management, all supported versions

Resolution

CA Performance Management was designed to provide a high level of granularity as to what you would like to monitor.

Not all customers want to discover interfaces on all of their devices, therefore it is not enabled by default.
