Issue/Introduction

Currently Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11 does not officially support e Token pro for pre boot authentication. This request is being submitted to add official support.

Cause

Currently Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11 supports the following smartcards for pre-boot authentication:

Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards

    G&D SmartCafe Expert 144K DI v3.2
    G&D SmartCafe Expert 80K DI v3.2
    Gemalto Cyberflex Access 64K v2c
    Gemalto ID Prime .NET
    Gelmalto TOP DL GX4 144K FIPS
    HID Global Crescendo JCOP 21 version 2.4.1 R2 64K
    Oberthur ID-One Cosmo v7.0
    Oberthur CS PIV End Point v1.08 FIPS201 Certified
    Oberthur ID-One Cosmo 128 v5.5 Dual

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This Feature Request is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version of the product.

Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add this product feature. Note that a feature request is exactly that, a request. There is no committed date for this request from the Encryption Product Management team, nor from the Encryption Engineering team at this time.
